Meet Sibusiso Mkhize, widely known as Scar Stunner, a versatile hip-hop artist and accomplished songwriter from Ext 6a.
Originating as a kwaito artist in 2009, Scar Stunner transitioned to hip hop in 2011, showcasing his adaptability in the music scene. Recognized as one of Orange Farm’s most talented hip-hop artists, his frequent appearances on TV and commercial radios attest to his abundant lyrical prowess, foreshadowing a promising future.
Reflecting on his journey, Scar Stunner shared with Orange Farm News: “I ventured through numerous singles and freestyles until I found a home with OPRODUCTIONS under the mentorship of OB Gwala. It was there that I officially debuted my single ‘God Got Bars’ in 2020, followed by five more releases under the label, including ‘Klaima 2.0,’ ‘9mm,’ ‘We’re Only Human,’ ‘Triumph,’ and ‘9820 (Interlude).’ These tracks collectively paint a vivid picture of my experiences.”
Having graced various platforms like The Full Clip (Yfm), Kasirap Records SABC 1, SHIZ LIVE (Etv), iNumba Numba (Ukhozi FM), Slaghuis TV and The Masterclass show at Soweto Theater, Scar Stunner’s stage presence is undeniable.
Currently, he’s channeling his creativity into crafting an 8-track EP titled ‘9820,’ drawing inspiration from real-life encounters. This body of work aims to motivate, offer emotional support, and impart valuable life lessons.
