More than 100 children in Orange Farm Ext 2 were reminded they are valued today after the African Transformation Movement (ATM) donated toiletry packs to 50 girls and 50 boys in a drive aimed at promoting dignity and personal hygiene.
The donation, sponsored by the ATM, provided essential hygiene products to children from the community as part of the party’s ongoing outreach programme.
ATM councillor candidate, Khonzaphi Mbele, told OFN: “Every child deserves to feel loved, cared for and valued. We hope these toiletries not only meet a practical need but also remind these children that their community cares about them and believes in their future.”
Each child received a pack containing essential personal care items to support their daily hygiene needs.
Mbele said the initiative reflects the party’s commitment to uplifting vulnerable children and ensuring they have access to basic necessities while fostering hope and a sense of belonging within the community.
