Lakeside Ext 2’s Thabang Isaac Mosibi, aka LAWKIID, is making serious noise with his raw, unapologetic sound. At just 24, this hip-hop and African drill artist is blazing his own trail unfiltered, unshaken and unforgettable.
Since stepping onto the scene in 2015, LAWKIID has been translating township life into hard-hitting bars and hypnotic beats. His music is a gritty blend of struggle, hustle and street truth served with lyrical flair and fearless energy.
He’s graced stages like Unity Fest (Ha Fusi) and Esotheric Experience (Ha Kurula Ext 1), backed by local legends Ematekini Car Wash and Umakhamba Wethu Entertainment. LAWKIID’s not just repping the township, he’s amplifying it. 27 July marked a major milestone with the release of his EP, “DIAPARO” a raw, poetic journey through pain, love and ambition. It’s more than music it’s a statement.
Now, LAWKIID is back with two new singles: the explosive “RE BUSY NQO!!” and the soul-searching “KE CHELLETSWE” showcasing both his fire and finesse.
“I’ve faced my share of demons- self-doubt, industry snakes but I keep it 100 with myself. That’s what fuels the grind,” said LAWKIID.
LAWKIID isn’t just an artist he’s a movement. His voice echoes through Orange Farm with purpose, power and pride.
