Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18).
This scripture is one of the most profound statements in the Bible. God invites His children to come to Him, offering to cleanse them from sin and iniquity. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes. You may stumble, but what truly matters is knowing that the blood of Jesus is always available to cleanse and purify you.
This is the heart of the gospel-you don’t have to remain in sin!The cleansing blood from Calvary is still working. You can be purified.
“If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father–Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” (1 John 2:1) Believe in Jesus Christ today! He has taken responsibility for your sins, offering justification through His sacrifice. Because of Him, we can keep running the race of faith without being weighed down by guilt.
If you have sinned and you know it, seek forgiveness. Imagine a refreshment stand on your faith journey-stop and pick up your forgiveness! Don’t dwell on your past mistakes. Don’t let anything keep you from living the abundant life God has prepared for you. If you’ve been weeping over your wrongdoing, know that God has seen your tears and accepted your repentance. Stop blaming yourself, because guilt only weakens your faith.
The blood of Jesus can purge your conscience-your inner voice-from dead works and set you free to serve the living God (Hebrews 9:13-14). What you need is faith in that blood, faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. That is the gospel. Forgiveness for the believer is just as powerful as the remission of sin for the sinner. Your sins will not define your future-because sin has already been judged in Jesus Christ!
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus, which guarantees my salvation and total deliverance from sin. I rejoice, knowing that I serve a God who loves me despite my failures, who has absolved me of guilt and judgment. I stand justified, both now and forever, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
