On 12 December, Interfaith (FBO), community members, and various stakeholders came together in Extensions 3 and 10 for a candlelight prayer session.
The gathering aimed to seek divine intervention following a series of shootings in the area. The prayer session also focused on promoting a safer festive season and asking for protection for those travelling during the holidays.
Speaking to Orange Farm News, Bishop Mollo emphasised the importance of the event: “This prayer was crucial. We need to seek God’s intervention in our community. So much blood has been shed, and only He can put an end to these senseless killings in our country. We are asking for His protection, guidance and leadership.”
The Bishop extended warm wishes to all, saying: “We wish everyone a joyful and safe holiday season. May God guide and protect you wherever you go.”
