Ntombifuthi Twala (18) of Extension 1 is in a critical condition after being repeatedly stabbed at Lakeside Park on 2 October. Currently in ICU, she battles for her life and her family is fervently pursuing justice.
Expressing the deep anguish felt, Ntombifuthi’s mother, Rebecca Twala, shared with Orange Farm News: “Our family is profoundly wounded by this incident and we demand justice. The perpetrator must face the full force of the law. I fear I may never recover from the pain of witnessing my child in such a grievous condition.”
Orange Farm SAPS communications officer, Sgt Shaan Motsapi, reported, “An 18-year-old was apprehended for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend. An altercation escalated into a brutal assault involving a brick and a sharp object. The suspect fled but was later arrested and is now in police custody. He has appeared before the Vereeniging Magistrates’ Court on an attempted murder charge, and the investigation is ongoing.”
The Twala family seeks the Orange Farm community’s prayers for their daughter’s recovery, expressing gratitude for the support and assistance during this challenging time.
