Having booked their place at the Ekasi Champ of Champs for a second time, Beke Le Beke FC continue to make history in Vaal football. Their latest qualification is another milestone in the club’s rise among the region’s elite teams.
The achievement is particularly special for the club after enduring heartbreak in recent years. In 2023, Beke Le Beke fell short in the qualifiers final, while in 2024 their journey ended in the semi-finals. This year, however, they finally achieved their goal.
Head coach Xolani Becker Cwebe said the qualification was the reward for years of hard work, dedication and perseverance after several near misses.
“It means a lot to us. We have been grinding to get back to the Champ of Champs. It was really tough because we lost in the qualifiers final in 2023 and the semi-finals in 2024. We are very happy because we did it for the chairman and the entire Beke Le Beke family,” said Cwebe.
The coach explained that the team did not encounter any major difficulties during this year’s campaign, attributing their success to thorough preparation and lessons learned from previous disappointments.

He also credited the achievement to the hard work done behind the scenes, the collective effort of the technical team and the commitment shown by players throughout the qualifying campaign.
Cwebe paid tribute to former coaches Themba and Mamba, saying their contribution helped lay the foundation for the club’s continued growth and success. He described them as mentors who paved the way for the current generation to continue building the Beke Le Beke legacy.
With qualification secured, the team’s focus now shifts to the national tournament, where they hope to make history and proudly represent the Vaal region.
“We are not going there just to add numbers. We want to be part of history. We will fight until the end and fly the Vaal Nation flag high,” said Cwebe.
