The MR Mbele Community Cricket Tournament successfully brought together six local cricket teams at Itemoheng Primary School on Saturday, 25 April 2026, in a celebration of sport, unity and community development.
The tournament featured two divisions, with teams competing throughout the day in front of enthusiastic supporters who gathered to cheer on local talent.
Organiser Khonzaphi Mbele said the event was aimed at creating opportunities for young players while strengthening community ties through sport.
“We wanted to give local players a chance to showcase their talent and unite the community through cricket,” said Mbele.
He added that the tournament also promoted discipline, teamwork and positive youth development.
