The first annual youth soccer tournament at Qoqa Grounds is gathering pace, with Dube and Ambitiouz FC topping the Under-13 groups after two rounds of group-stage action.

In Group A (U13), Dube lead with six points and a goal difference of +7 after beating Hollybirds 4-0 and edging O.F.U 4-3. O.F.U are second on six points with a +3 goal difference. Hollybirds and Lakeboyz are yet to register points.

Group B sees Ambitiouz FC on six points with a +7 goal difference following wins over U.F.S (6-1) and Spitz (3-1). Spitz and Mshengu both sit on three points, while U.F.S remain without a point. All teams have one group match remaining.

Earlier results included Spitz’s 5-0 win over Mshengu and O.F.U’s 2-1 victory against Lakeboyz, while Mshengu narrowly beat U.F.S 1-0 in their second fixture.

In the Under-11 division, Action FC dominate Group B with six points after defeating Dube 3-0 and Hollybirds 2-1. In Group A, Ambitiouz lead with six points, while O.F.U, U.F.S and Mshengu remain in contention as fixtures continue.

Recent U11 results saw O.F.U and Mshengu draw 1-1, while Ambitiouz edged O.F.U 2-1.

Tournament organisers confirmed that Under-15 fixtures will begin this weekend at Raphela Grounds. Teams are urged to submit affiliation fees on time, with some U15 matches set to kick off on Friday.

With knockout spots on the line, the final round of group matches is expected to be decisive.
