Orlando Pirates are set to defend their MTN8 cup against Sundowns on Saturday, 7 October, at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
In the semi-finals, both teams secured their spots in the final by overcoming their opponents. Pirates faced a tense battle against Stellenbosch, losing the second leg 1-0, but advancing with a 2-2 aggregate score thanks to away goals.
Sundowns, on the other hand, triumphed over Chiefs, giving them an advantage coming into this match, having recently defeated Pirates 1-0 in a league match at home.
However, Moses Mabhida Stadium holds special significance for the Buccaneers, who have a history of success there, having won the MTN8 they are defending at the same venue.
With both teams hungry for victory, this final promises to be a thrilling and high-stakes encounter. The big question on everyone’s mind is, who will emerge victorious?
