YoungLife Orange Farm is set to host a Shoes and Clothes Donation Drive aimed at supporting amputees and underprivileged community members on 16 June, in Boxer Ext 4.
The initiative, organised in partnership with YoungLife Orange Farm, seeks to bring hope and practical support to those in need through the donation of clothing and shoes. The event will run throughout the day, with community members encouraged to come through and donate or collect items.

YoungLife is a Christian youth organisation focused on empowering and guiding young people through positive activities and fellowship. Although not a church, the organisation creates a safe environment where youth gather in club-style settings to participate in Bible studies, games, camps, mentorship programmes, and other life-building activities.
Speaking about the upcoming event, YoungLife Area Director in Johannesburg, Rethabile Moima, said the donation drive is about restoring dignity and showing love to the community.
“YoungLife is about bringing hope and building relationships with young people and the community. Through this clothes drive, we want people in need, especially amputees, to feel supported and cared for. We encourage the community to come together and make a difference by donating clothes and shoes,” said Moima.
The organisation hopes the event will not only provide essential items but also inspire unity, kindness, and community spirit among residents.
Community members who wish to donate or support the initiative are encouraged to participate on the day and help make the event a success.
