Sphamandla ‘Azania Pamba’ Mdaka, a talented fashion designer hailing from Drieziek 5, embarked on his tailoring journey back in 2015. Armed with a sewing machine gifted by a friend’s mom, he delved into the world of fashion with passion and determination.
Since then, Azania Pamba has graced the runways of numerous prestigious fashion shows across South Africa, captivating audiences with his unique creations.
Now, he is taking his creativity to new heights. He is currently in the process of producing a captivating short film, chronicling his remarkable journey in the world of fashion design. Additionally, he is gearing up to host his very own show in June, set to embark on a township tour aimed at igniting inspiration among budding young designers.
The excitement doesn’t end there. Azania Pamba’s showcase will kick off in style, with Katlehong Crossing as its first stop, followed by a dazzling display in the vibrant streets of Khayelitsha, Cape Town. With each stitch and every design, Azania Pamba continues to weave a story of passion, perseverance, and boundless creativity, leaving an indelible mark on the fashion landscape of South Africa.
