On 10 August, Future Academy were crowned OFLFA Super League champions and earned promotion to the Hollywoodbets Regional League, a huge milestone for a team that has proven hard work and determination truly pay off.
Founded in January this year and based in Ext 7b, Future Academy has quickly made its mark under the guidance of coach and team chairman Fhatuwani Nkosi affectionately known as Ta-Bless and coach Mandla Ntaje AKA Ta-Msheke. The team’s remarkable performance throughout the season has been powered by discipline, unity, and an unwavering commitment to success.
Reflecting on the journey, Nkosi said: “This project was challenging, but our teamwork and dedication helped us overcome every obstacle. I’m incredibly proud of our achievement. Let’s celebrate this win and carry the momentum forward. I’m excited to see what else this team can accomplish.”
OFLFA Super League chairperson Patrick Mokwena congratulated the champions. He said: “Congratulations to Future Academy, especially the players who have been working tirelessly all season. It’s fantastic to see their hard work pay off with this well-deserved promotion. Their commitment and collaborative spirit have been instrumental in this success. This promotion is a testament to their talent, and we look forward to seeing them represent Orange Farm in the Hollywoodbets Regional League.”
With this victory, Future Academy now steps into an exciting new chapter, ready to carry the pride of Orange Farm into the regional stage.
