Love, heartbreak and the pain of losing meaningful connections form the heart of Austin’s upcoming EP, Lost Connection, which is set for release on 16 October 2026.
The South African hip-hop artist uses the project to reflect on relationships, missed opportunities and the emotional aftermath that can follow when people drift apart.
Rather than focusing on one experience, the EP explores different sides of connection and loss, with each track offering its own perspective on love, disappointment and personal growth.
“Lost Connection is one of my most personal releases to date,” Austin said, describing the project as one shaped by real-life emotions and experiences.
Musically, the EP blends hip-hop with Afrobeat influences, combining reflective lyrics with melodic and rhythm-driven production.
Austin is joined on the project by Dopey Dog and Poster, while producers Baylor and Kid Bronze helped shape its overall sound.
The collaborations add different voices and styles to the project while supporting the relationship-driven themes that run throughout the EP.
For Austin, Lost Connection also represents a period of artistic growth as he continues developing his sound and using music as a platform for personal storytelling.
