At just 26 years old, Xolile Prince Ndlovu, popularly known as Dollar, is making strides in the entertainment industry as he prepares to launch #LocalfelebPodcast, a platform dedicated to celebrating local talent and uplifting township communities.
The Ext 6B resident gained recognition through his appearance on the popular television show Single and Mingle, where he was featured in an episode at Grootman Restaurant.
Building on his experience in entertainment, Ndlovu is now turning his attention to podcasting, with the aim of creating opportunities for local celebrities, musicians, artists, brand ambassadors and other talented individuals to share their journeys.
Through #LocalfelebPodcast, he hopes to provide a platform for meaningful conversations that highlight the achievements, challenges and aspirations of people within the community.
“I want #LocalfelebPodcast to be more than just a platform for entertainment. My vision is to give local talent a voice, create opportunities for upcoming artists and brand ambassadors, and show that greatness can emerge from ikasi. We have so much talent in our communities, and it deserves to be seen, heard and celebrated,” Ndlovu said.
The initiative aims to give emerging talent greater exposure while encouraging young people to pursue opportunities in the creative industry.
Ndlovu’s upcoming live podcast stream is scheduled for Saturday, 31 October 2026, at 14:00, opposite Bakgatleng at Mbiko’s Place.
Under the theme of real people, real impact and real conversations, the event will give community members an opportunity to participate in interviews and share their experiences.
Beyond entertainment, the podcast aims to create a space where local voices can be heard and individuals can connect through authentic storytelling.
With #LocalfelebPodcast, Prince/Dollar is taking another step in his entertainment journey while working towards building a platform that recognises and celebrates talent emerging from the township.
