The OFLFA Ladies Soccer League returned to Seipone School Ground over the weekend, with four fixtures keeping the competition alive.
Vaal 016 FC faced log leaders Panthers Ladies FC in the opening match, followed by Bayern FC against Parabellum FC. Ellite Queens FC met Ambitious Sporting before Parabellum returned for the final fixture against Vaal 016 FC.
Panthers headed into the weekend unbeaten after five matches, leading the table with 13 points. Ellite Queens and Vaal 016 followed on eight points each, making every fixture increasingly important in the title race.
OFLFA secretary Patrick Mokwena said the weekend matches reflected the continued growth of women’s football in Orange Farm.
“Every match gives the players an opportunity to compete, develop their skills and inspire more girls to take up football. We thank the teams, supporters, Seipone School and our partners for supporting the ladies’ league,” said Mokwena.
