Ananda Marga’s Dada Krishna took 100 Orange Farm youth to the International Day of Yoga event on Saturday, 24 June, at Wanderers Cricket Stadium in Illovo, Sandton.
The event was hosted by the Consulate General of India Johannesburg in association with various Yoga schools and socio-cultural institutions in South Africa.
Youth aged between 12 and 20 years and 6 volunteers from Ext 7, Drieziek 1 and 5 learnt about different Yoga physical postures and more.
“The event was about health, unity and diversity. The youth learnt a lot and enjoyed themselves. If they practise, they will be good with Yoga and it will change their lives. Everybody received a Yoga mate, t-shirts, drinks and perfumes including delicious breakfast and lunch,” said Dada Krishna.
