The Orange Farm Netball Association (OFNA) officially launched the Region G2 Netball League on 31 May, at Masibambane College, marking the start of an exciting season of competitive netball. The league aims to promote sports development, teamwork, and community participation while providing a platform for players to showcase their talent.
The competition features several divisions, including U13, U15, U19, Seniors, and a Male Squad, ensuring opportunities for players of different age groups and skill levels. Participating teams include Hawks NC, Ballers NC, Lintony NC, SK United NC, Mountain Angels NC, VYD NC, Stone Breakers NC, Black Seven NC, and OFU NC.

In the U13 division, OFUNC secured a convincing 8-0 victory over Black Seven, while SK United defeated Mountain Angels 9-3. The U15 division produced some dominant performances, with Ballers beating Stone Breakers 15-0, Hawks overcoming Lintony 15-0, OFUNC defeating VYD 19-4, and Mountain Angels claiming a 9-3 win against SK United.
The U19 division saw Lintony defeat Ballers 10-2, while Mountain Angels earned a 12-8 victory over Hawks. In the Senior division, OFUNC delivered an impressive 22-3 win against Hawks, and Lintony defeated Mountain Angels 13-7.

The successful opening round highlighted the growing popularity of netball in Orange Farm and the commitment of local clubs to developing the sport. OFNA continues to play a vital role in creating opportunities for athletes while fostering discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition within the community. The league is expected to provide many more exciting matches throughout the season.
