A family in Drieziek has been left devastated after a late-night incident destroyed their home and all their belongings, forcing them to start over with almost nothing.
The fire broke out at approximately 22:00 on Sunday, 14 June 2026, at 8353 Drieziek 5. The affected household is headed by Patricia Zulu and includes her children, Kamogelo Zulu, Siyabonga Zulu and Tamari Zulu.
According to the family, the flames spread rapidly through the house, destroying clothing, furniture, household essentials and important personal documents. The incident has left them facing immense challenges as they try to rebuild their lives.

With their possessions gone, the family is now appealing to the community for assistance. Donations of clothing, food, furniture, bedding, toiletries and other basic necessities would provide much-needed relief during this difficult period.
