Percy Tau, redeeming himself from a previous penalty miss, skillfully converted an early penalty. The Brave Warriors couldn’t contain Themba Zwane, who netted a brace, and second-half substitute Thapelo Maseko sealed the win with Bafana’s fourth goal.
Persistently knocking on Namibia’s door, Bafana demonstrated relentless determination. In contrast, Namibia’s performance lacked the vigor seen in their win against Tunisia.
Despite creating opportunities in the first half, their finishes faltered, and captain Peter Shalulile failed to make the expected impact, compounded by ineffective coach-made changes.
Looking ahead, Bafana faces a crucial match against Tunisia, needing a victory to advance. Group standings currently have Mali leading with 4 points, Bafana following closely with 3, Namibia in 3rd with 3 points, and Tunisia at the fourth spot with 1 point.
