Young players from the Orange Farm Girls Cricket Team had an opportunity to learn directly from DP World Lions Women’s player Ryder “Slice” Ntozakhe during a practice session in Drieziek 4 on 24 September 2026.
The Heritage Day visit brought professional cricket experience to the team’s local practice, with Ntozakhe sharing her skills and spending time with the girls. SABC Sport was also present.
Coach Bongani Ramathe said the interaction offered valuable lessons for his players and thanked Ntozakhe for encouraging them.
“Our girls learned a lot from you today. Thank you for sharing your experience, your skills, and inspiring our girls. It really means a lot to us,” said Ramathe.
For the young cricketers, the session was an opportunity to learn beyond their regular training through direct interaction with a player from the Lions women’s side. Ramathe’s message highlighted both the skills shared and the inspiration the girls took from the visit.
He also acknowledged SABC Sport, Orange Farm News and the DP World Lions Women’s team in his message of thanks to those who helped make the occasion special.
