Evaton North residents are set to benefit from improved healthcare infrastructure following the renovation and extension of Tlhokomelong Clinic.
The upgraded facility will officially be handed over to the community on September 11, 2026, in a ceremony led by the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources.
The project was implemented as part of Seriti Power’s Social and Labour Plan and is aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure while expanding access to quality health services for residents in the area.
The renovation and extension come as access to functional and adequately equipped public healthcare facilities remains an important part of service delivery in growing communities such as Evaton.
The project also highlights the role that partnerships between government, municipalities and the private sector can play in addressing infrastructure needs and supporting community development.
The official handover will take place at Tlhokomelong Clinic in Evaton North at 10:00, with the upgraded facility expected to strengthen the delivery of healthcare services to the local community.
The initiative involves the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Seriti Power and Emfuleni Local Municipality.
