Ananda Jayanti Community Development Centre has celebrated the graduation of its second group of community digital literacy participants as it continues to provide free skills development opportunities to residents of Orange Farm. The programme equips community members with basic computer skills, helping them build confidence and improve their ability to participate in an increasingly digital world.
The centre offers the training free of charge as part of its broader community development initiatives, which aim to create opportunities, build skills and improve the lives of local residents. Alongside its community programmes, AMSAI Primary School, based at Plot 24 in Drieziek 1, has opened registrations for the 2027 academic year. The affordable private school caters for learners from Grade R to Grade 7, offering what its management describes as quality, values-based education.
“AMSAI is an affordable private school offering quality, values-based education from Grade R to Grade 7. Our approach goes beyond academic achievement, focusing on developing confident, responsible and well-rounded individuals who can become tomorrow’s leaders,” the AMSAI management team told OFN.
The school said its teaching approach places emphasis on character development, individual attention and providing learners with a safe and supportive environment. AMSAI learners also benefit from free digital literacy and computer skills programmes, giving them an opportunity to develop technological skills from an early age.
Parents and guardians interested in enrolling their children for 2027 are encouraged to apply early, as spaces are limited.
