The Region G2 U13 Netball League is delivering exciting competition as young players from Orange Farm and surrounding communities continue to showcase their talent in the opening weeks of the season.
With teams having played between one and four matches, the standings are beginning to take shape, but the race for top honours remains wide open. Every fixture has brought high-intensity action, impressive teamwork and growing confidence from the young athletes as they compete week after week.
Orange Farm Netball League (OFNLA) Coordinator Gift “Coach Sbu” Gabelane praised the commitment shown by all participating teams and the positive atmosphere surrounding the competition.
“A huge thank you to all the teams that came out and brought the fire. The energy, the sportsmanship and those marvellous games had us on the edge of our seats,” said Gabelane.
The early standings reflect a competitive league, with several teams separated by only a few points and others still having games in hand. As more fixtures are played, the table is expected to change regularly, making every match an important opportunity to climb the rankings.
Beyond the results, the league continues to fulfil its primary purpose of developing young netball players by giving them regular competitive match experience. It also provides a platform for athletes to build confidence, improve their skills and learn the values of teamwork, discipline and respect.
Supporters can expect the competition to become even more intense in the coming weeks as teams settle into the season and battle for valuable points.
