A deadly shooting incident in Orange Farm has left a man dead after he was shot while seated in his vehicle on Monday evening, 13 April.
According to the South African Police Service, the victim had been visiting a female friend in Ext 6a near Jola Park at about 7pm when two suspects approached the car. One of the suspects opened fire, firing several shots at the victim as he attempted to exit the vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene on foot. He was declared dead at the scene.
Orange Fam SAPS Coperate Communication, Sgt Shaan Motsapi confirmed that a murder case has been opened. “On arrival, members found a body in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage, and no arrests have been made,” he said.
