This past weekend, the PLPDL Community Football League and Competition held a Youth Day Tournament to celebrate youth.
The tournament featured a round-robin format with U17 teams from Group A and Group B competing at Ext 9, Phase 1, Hazulu Ground. Only the top team from each group advanced to the finals.
Group A Teams- Streford Young Tigers FC- Dona’s Mates FA- 7/11 FC
Group B Teams- Positive Living People FC- Vision 2025 FC- Young Tigers FC
Group A Results- Streford Young Tigers FC 2 – Dona’s Mates FA 1- 7/11 FC 1 – Streford Young Tigers FC 1- 7/11 FC 3 – Dona’s Mates FA 07/11 FC emerged as the number one team from Group A with 4 points and 4 goals.
Group B Results- Positive Living People FC 3 – Vision 2025 FC 0- Vision 2025 FC 0 – Young Tigers FC 3- Young Tigers FC 4 – Positive Living People FC 0, Young Tigers FC won Group B with 6 points and 7 goals.
In the finals, Young Tigers FC faced 7/11 FC and won 6-5 on penalties, becoming the Youth Day Competition Under 17 champions of the PLPDL Community Football League and Competition.
