It was a thrilling weekend in the Super League, with a series of high-scoring matches, walkovers and tightly contested clashes across both Saturday and Sunday fixtures.
The weekend kicked off on a shaky note on Saturday as the much-anticipated clash between Black Seven and TLC failed to materialise with both teams failing to pitch. However, the rest of the day brought action to the field.
Future Academy delivered a powerful statement by thrashing City Rockers 10–0, in what was arguably the most dominant performance of the weekend. Benfica followed suit with an impressive 5–0 victory over Blue Wheels, displaying both attacking flair and defensive discipline.
Young Tigers were awarded a walkover win (2–0) after Simunye failed to turn up. Sunday Results – Kweneng Cruise, Ajax Held
Sunday’s fixtures brought a mix of walkovers and hard-fought results. Kweneng FC proved too strong for TLC, securing a solid 4–0 victory. Young Tigers once again walked away with maximum points without kicking a ball, this time benefiting from Black Seven’s absence. Az Ramblers edged past Juventus in a narrow 1–0 win, showcasing grit and composure under pressure.
In the only match to end in a stalemate, Ajax 18 and Nathi Stars shared the spoils with a 1–1 draw in a game marked by end-to-end action.
As the Super League season progresses, standout teams like Future Academy, Benfica, and Kweneng are making their presence felt, while several no-shows have raised concerns around consistency and discipline. League organisers continue to urge teams to honour fixtures and uphold the spirit of fair play as the competition heats up.
