Learners at Siyaphambili and Vulanindlela secondary school received crucial guidance as Vumane Projects visited them this month to raise awareness on teenage pregnancy, bullying and the dangers of unprotected sex.

During workshops and interactive sessions, facilitators educated students on the risks of unsafe behavior, the importance of consent and ways to seek help when facing peer pressure or harassment.

Vumane’s Esther Denge told OFN: “Teenagers face many challenges today and knowledge is their best defence. We aim to empower learners to make safe, informed choices and build supportive relationships.”

School staff welcomed the program, noting that community initiatives like this are essential in equipping youth to navigate complex social and personal issues.

Vumane Projects says the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness and empower youth with the information they need to make responsible choices.
