Two major honours have placed Orange Farms SAPS among the standout performers in the Sedibeng District, following recognition for both frontline service and detective work during the 2025/2026 financial year.
The station received the accolades at the Sedibeng District Excellence Awards held at Lapeng Conference Centre on September 4.
Captain Meyiwa, commander of the Orange Farms SAPS Visible Policing Client Service Centre (CSC), received a special award from Sedibeng District Commissioner Major General Nkhensani Mukhwevho.
The award recognised Meyiwa’s dedication, professionalism and commitment to serving the Orange Farms community through the station’s Client Service Centre.
Orange Farms SAPS communication officer Sgt SJ Motsapi said the recognition reflected the commitment shown by members in carrying out their duties.
“These awards are a reflection of the dedication, professionalism and teamwork displayed by our members. We are proud of their achievements and remain committed to providing the Orange Farms community with a professional and effective policing service,” Motsapi said.
The station also claimed first place in the Detective Service Best Team of the Year category.
The detective team was recognised for its leadership, teamwork, professionalism and dedication within the detective service administration environment.
Motsapi said the achievement should also motivate other members at the station to continue striving for excellence.
“The recognition does not only belong to the members who received the awards, but also serves as encouragement to everyone at the station to continue working together and maintaining high standards of policing,” he said.
Station management congratulated the award recipients and acknowledged all Orange Farms SAPS members who participated in the district ceremony.
The annual awards were hosted under the leadership of Mukhwevho and recognised police officers and teams for outstanding performance across the Sedibeng District.
