The vibrant sounds of Orange Farm’s very own TableCloth Band echoed with pride at the finals of the Battle of the Bands, where they proudly secured 3rd place in the highly competitive contest.
The journey began in April, when bands from across Gauteng stepped into the spotlight to showcase their music at Bailey’s in Bedfordview. Each round pushed contenders to refine their sound, engage with audiences, and prove their stage presence. By the time the finals arrived on 30 August, the energy was electric, and the competition was nothing short of fierce.
Despite the tough field, TableCloth Band stood out with their originality, musical chemistry and powerful performance that left the crowd cheering. The band’s achievement is not only a celebration of their hard work but also a reminder of how platforms like the Battle of the Bands help emerging artists grow – giving them exposure, sharpening their craft, and connecting them to new fans.
Speaking after their win, the band shared: “We are so grateful for this opportunity. Securing 3rd place means a lot to us, especially coming from Orange Farm where most of our fans are based. Their support keeps us going and being part of this competition reminded us why we love what we do – creating music that speaks to people.”
As they look ahead, TableCloth Band remains committed to building their sound, expanding their audience, and proudly representing their community on bigger stages.
