Orange Farm’s Clap n Tap choirs have another platform to showcase their music through MaSekgobela Choral Suite, a Facebook page created by Ext 4 resident Phoki Angel Sekgobela.
The chorister and content creator uses videos, interviews and music promotion to introduce audiences to choirs from Orange Farm and beyond.
“I’ve recently created an official Facebook page named MaSekgobela Choral Suite. It focuses on elevating choirs, their singles, EPs and albums. I also do interviews on that page,” said Sekgobela.
She is a chorister with The City Artist Development, based in Ext 6a, where her responsibilities also include choir page management, content creation and promotion.
Her work includes documenting The City Gospel Singers’ performances and introducing individual vocalists through her “The City Gospel Singers Members” video series.
According to Sekgobela, her involvement extends to promoting fundraising concerts, live gospel showcases and youth talent programmes, including events at the Orange Farm Ext 1 Community Hall.
Through the page, she aims to give local choral music greater exposure and encourage support for the people keeping Clap n Tap active in their communities.
