The legacy of the late Gabisile Mbatha, a respected businesswoman remembered for her generosity, compassion and commitment to helping others, will continue through the Gabisile Mbatha Tyhala Nge’Sfuba Foundation.
Previously known as the Giving Foundation, the organisation was renamed in her honour to celebrate the values she embodied and the lasting impact she made on those around her. The foundation seeks to carry forward her passion for giving back and uplifting vulnerable communities.
According to Bekisisa Richard Magwaza Mbatha, the foundation was renamed to honour Gabisile’s life and continue the work that was close to her heart.
“We are doing this foundation to honour Gabisile and to continue giving back to the community because that is what she loved doing,” he said.
The foundation’s director, Nhlonipho Mbatha, initiated the decision to host its first major community outreach programme in Orange Farm. He said the community was chosen because of the need to support vulnerable children and families while continuing Gabisile’s vision of serving those in need.
The foundation’s first initiative under its new name, Hearts in Action, will take place at Thato Ke Matla Care Centre CYCC Orphanage in Orange Farm on 19 July 2026 at 11:00.
The event will bring together volunteers and supporters to spend time with children at the care centre, donate essential items and spread hope through acts of kindness. Organisers say the initiative is about creating meaningful connections and leaving a lasting impact rather than simply donating gifts.
The Gabisile Mbatha Tyhala Nge’Sfuba Foundation is committed to uplifting vulnerable members of society, restoring hope and creating opportunities through compassion, unity and selfless service.
Through the foundation, Gabisile Mbatha’s legacy of generosity will continue to inspire others, ensuring that the values she lived by remain alive in communities for years to come.
