A newly formed community cleaning initiative, Msesha Phantsi Cleaning Services Group, is making a positive impact in local neighbourhoods despite facing significant challenges.
The group was founded by Sibusiso Dhlamini in March 2026 with the aim of keeping communities clean, protecting the environment, and improving living conditions for residents. Since its establishment, members have been actively involved in cleaning public spaces and unblocking water streams and drainage systems to help prevent flooding and improve sanitation.
However, Dhlamini says the group’s biggest challenge is the lack of proper cleaning equipment and resources.
“We are committed to serving our community, but we do not have enough tools to carry out our work effectively. Many times, we have to make do with the limited equipment available to us,” he explained.
The organisation is still in the process of becoming formally registered and is appealing for financial assistance, donations, and sponsorships that will enable it to expand its operations and purchase much-needed equipment.

According to Dhlamini, any contribution whether in the form of cleaning tools, protective gear, financial support, or sponsorship, would go a long way in helping the group continue its work and create a cleaner environment for all.
Despite these challenges, members of Msesha Phantsi Cleaning Services Group remain dedicated to their mission and hopeful that businesses, organisations, and community members will come forward to support their efforts.
The group believes that with the right backing, they can create cleaner, safer, and healthier communities while inspiring more residents to take pride in their surroundings.
Individuals, businesses, and organisations interested in supporting the initiative through donations, sponsorships, cleaning equipment, or other forms of assistance can contact Sibusiso Dhlamini on 063 313 2989.
