Smiles, laughter and appreciation filled the day as Masikhuleni Sharing and Caring Club hosted Mother’s Day celebration on 13 May, for Orange Farm Ext 4 community members and elderly residents.
The successful event was organised by Ruth Wilson, Betty Mashaba and Nomasonto Cindi, with sponsorship support from the DA and Ofuta.
Organisers expressed gratitude to everyone who attended and helped make the celebration memorable, saying the gathering was aimed at honouring mothers while promoting love, care and unity within the community.
Special thanks were also extended to Jeanette from the City of Johannesburg (COJ), who assisted elderly residents with their ESP applications during the event.
Motivational speaker Charles Malema was recognised for his inspiring words, support and valuable advice shared with members of the Masikhuleni Sharing and Caring Club.
“We are very thankful to everyone who came and supported us. The love and unity shown during the celebration made the day special for all the mothers and gogos who attended,” said Cindi.
The organisers described the celebration as a beautiful day filled with togetherness, support and community spirit.
