On 4 February, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Joe Phaahla, Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Nomantu Nkomo Ralehoko and the Pink Drive hosted United by Unique community cancer screening at the Multipurpose Centre to mark World Cancer Day.
The event provided free cancer screenings, health education, and awareness, emphasizing the importance of prevention, early detection, and timely treatment. Community members were encouraged to take charge of their health by getting screened and learning about cancer risks and warning signs.
The United by Unique initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve access to quality healthcare in underserved communities across Gauteng, ensuring that no one is left behind in the fight against cancer.
