Gracefully Thando, has devoted herself to empowering others, with her triumph serving as a beacon of hope, inspiring young girls in Orange Farm to chase their dreams with unwavering faith and determination.
Gracefully Thando, co-founder and art therapist at Buhlebembali Social Counselling Foundation, was crowned on 7 December, at the Discovery Recreation Centre in Roodepoort.
Miss Charis is not just a pageant; it is a platform designed to inspire young women to embrace their grace, faith, and purpose, aligning their lives with God’s divine plan. The pageant’s vision is drawn from the biblical story of Esther, who found favour in God’s eyes.
Thando told Orange Farm News: “I am deeply grateful and humble to be ordained as the first Midwife of the Miss Charis Pageant Organization. This accomplishment reflects God’s goodness and favour in my life. I vow to serve this platform with integrity, grace, and humility, always pointing others to Him. Thank you to my family, spiritual family, and supporters for their unwavering love and guidance. I am excited to serve my Deaf community and carry out this important mission. May unity, grace, faith and purpose guide us all.”
