A man accused of killing two people in Orange Farm is appearing in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court today on charges of double murder.
According to Orange Farm SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Motsapi, the incident occurred in the early hours of 5 October, at around 02h30am, in Extension 7b.
He said: “The suspect had initially claimed that he was inside his vehicle when two armed men approached him demanding cash. He alleged that one of them fired a shot at him, and he retaliated using his licensed firearm.”
The suspect was later arrested following a police investigation. Sgt Motsapi confirmed that the suspect is appearing in court today as investigations continue.
