A stolen vehicle was successfully recovered in Orange Farm following swift action by Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Tactical Response Unit (TRU) officers during routine crime prevention patrols.
According to JMPD, officers received a tip-off about a white Hyundai H100 that had been stolen in Tembisa and was allegedly travelling along Phumlani Street in Drieziek.
Acting on the information, officers proceeded to the identified location, where they discovered a vehicle matching the description abandoned.
The recovered vehicle has since been booked in at the Vereeniging SAPS pound for further investigation.
Authorities have not yet confirmed any arrests linked to the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
The JMPD has encouraged residents to continue sharing information that can assist in combating crime, as part of ongoing efforts to improve safety across communities.
