Mfanafuthi Mashinini, better known as Slykiller, has set his sights on another project following the release of Joint EP “Reburn” on January 3, as he plans to drop a new body of work before the end of the year.
The Orange Farm Ext 1 rapper first stepped into music in 2015 while still a Grade 7 learner at Vulindlela Primary School. Since then, he has grown within the local hip-hop scene, performing at community hotspots such as G-Spot in Ext 6, Ext 1 Park, Jola Park and Kweneng Pub.
His earlier project introduced a creative concept, with each track forming the word “JOINT,” while also telling a deeper personal story of ambition and self-belief beyond his surroundings.
“It’s about leaving the hood to chase opportunities, enjoying the journey, and refusing to go back to a place of giving up,” he said.
With Joint EP “Reburn” now released, Slykiller continues to build momentum and aims to expand his sound while reaching a wider audience.
His music is available on Audiomack, with updates shared across his social media platforms.
