Ext 6b’s Samkelo Mangi, aka Samusa, is making major moves in the local hip hop scene. The rapper and trapper, who spits about life and struggles in the hood, recently won Best Mixtape at the Timeline Radio Awards, competing alongside talented artists like Xtreme Makhayeni and Shady Jay.
Samusa told OFN: “I’m proud to be recognised among such amazing artists.”
He performed a relay of tracks from his mixtape, “1841 The Mixtape”, including 1841, Go, All My Life, and Perfect Rhyming, earning praise from fans and the judges. While he didn’t take the cypher win performance left a mark on the crowd.
“I want to thank the hip hop community, my fans, my family, and most importantly God. A big shoutout to Timeline Radio Awards for supporting unknown artists and keeping the scene alive,” said Samusa.
His music is available on Audiomack, SoundCloud, and YouTube (search Samusa), with Spotify coming soon
