The PLPDL Community Football League delivered a thrilling weekend of football action, featuring several exciting matches across different age groups.
At Solwazi Grounds in Drieziek 5, Young Tigers FC U13 team edged out Stretford Young Tigers FC TEAM B with a close 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, Positive Living People FC U15 showcased a dominant performance, defeating 7/11 FC with a decisive 3-0 scoreline.
The tables turned in the U17 category, where 7/11 FC secured a 3-1 win against Positive Living People FC. Over at Hazulu Grounds in Ext 9, Phase 1, Stretford Young Tigers FC TEAM A delivered a standout performance, crushing Mighty Paradise FC 7-0 in the U13 match and continuing their dominance with a 6-0 win in the U17 category. Vision 2025 FC faced off against Dona’s Mates FA, winning the U13 match 3-2, drawing 0-0 in the U15 category, and clinching a 2-1 victory in the U17 game.
PLPDL’s Mpe expressed gratitude for the community’s support, saying, “We believe that more and more teams are needed to keep the community of sports vibrant, and we thank our communities for the wonderful support they always give us.”
