Pearl Nrateng Zwane (22) from Orange Farm has added yet another title to her name after being crowned Face of GBV Gauteng 2026 at a pageant held in Krugersdorp on 7 February.
The young queen describes herself as a determined and ambitious woman who is using pageantry as a stepping stone toward fulfilling her dreams. Competing against numerous contestants, all vying for a single crown, Pearl stood out and ultimately claimed the title.
The event hosted in Krugersdorp, showcased young women from across the province, each passionate about making a difference. For Anele, the victory was both a personal milestone and a spiritual moment. She credits her success to faith, hard work and unwavering belief in her purpose.
“Being crowned Face of GBV Gauteng 2026 comes with great responsibility. This title gives me a platform to speak out and raise awareness about gender-based violence, which continues to affect many of our communities. I am committed to using my voice to educate, inspire and support initiatives that promote safety, empowerment and positive change,” she said.
Pearl says she hopes her achievement will encourage other young women in Orange Farm to pursue their aspirations confidently, regardless of obstacles. She believes that with dedication and self-belief, anything is possible.
