Two women from Orange Farm, won R1 000 each following a lucky prize draw held at the Women’s Day Peace Walk held at Park Primary in Lenasia.
The program highlighted the importance of women in the society and awarded six women for their good work in the community. Orange Farm’s traditional dancers also provided entertainment.
There was a lucky draw prize for encouragement, where six women were chosen each of them won R1 000 including two from Orange Farm.
“Men and women are like the wings of a bird. Without one another they are useless. All are a unique creation of the same progenator, ” said Dada Krishna from Ananda Marga who took Orange Farm women to participate at the event.
