abulani Silanda, better known as NtalaDipichi, has lived a life many wouldn’t survive. At just 28, the Ext 10 native is a former gang member, ex-convict and a survivor of mob justice-a past that could have destroyed him.
But instead of letting it define him, he chose to rewrite his story. Now, he’s using his music to warn and empower the youth, steering them away from crime.
On 6 April, NtalaDipichi will release the official music video for “Keledi tsa Batwadi” (Parents’ Tears), a deeply personal track featuring the talented Lawkid. The song paints a raw and emotional picture of his past, where his mother pleaded with him to stay away from bad influences-but he didn’t listen. Now, he carries the weight of regret, and through this song, he hopes to show young people the pain their actions cause their parents before it’s too late.
The music video, shot in Ext 10, captures the harsh realities of crime, the heartbreak of a mother and the consequences of bad choices. It’s not just a song-it’s a wake-up call.
Be sure to watch the premiere on YouTube and follow him for updates on Facebook: NtalaDipichi.
