Learners at Lakeside Primary were addressed this morning on key issues affecting young people, including bullying, drugs and substance abuse, as well as respect and discipline.
The engagement formed part of an integrated law enforcement and service delivery initiative aimed at educating and protecting learners, while promoting a safe and disciplined school environment.
Several stakeholders took part in the programme, working together to support and empower learners. These included the South African Police Service (SAPS), Gauteng Traffic Wardens, Ke Moja, Gauteng Department of Community Safety, CPF Patrollers, Siyabangena Patrollers, as well as a motivational speaker and author focusing on bullying.
Through this collaborative effort, stakeholders reinforced the importance of awareness, accountability, and positive behaviour in building safer schools and stronger communities.
