Orange Farm’s very own Ke Yarona Golf Academy girls – trading as Smart Golf – proved there’s no shortage of talent in Orange Farm at the 2nd Smart Golf Parent – Child Classic. The juniors fought their way into the top three, showcasing remarkable consistency and rapid improvement in every round.
Despite a shortage of sponsorship, the academy’s young athletes have persevered, shining brightly on the greens and proving that passion can bridge any funding gap.
Nomsa Nkomonde, Ke Yarona Golf Academy director, told OFN: “We owe this success to our dedicated parents, our supportive sponsors and, most importantly, to our resilient junior players. Their hard work and enthusiasm inspire us every day and we can’t wait for the Spring Individual Challenge 2025.”
“To keep this momentum rolling, the academy is calling on businesses, government departments and individual patrons – especially from the telecoms, mining and hospitality sectors – to partner with us. Your sponsorship will help Orange Farm athletes reach new heights and ensure that golf continues to grow as a cornerstone sport in our region. Together, let’s drive our young golfers toward even greater success,” added Nkomonde.
