Jackson’s Tsekeleke Eleven FC: Shaping tomorrow’s top-quality players

Tsekeleke Eleven FC, founded and chaired by Thabang Motseki, was established this year March. Motseki not only serves as the founder but also coaches the U11, U13, and U15 teams, with Daniel Motseki assisting him.

The club is sponsored primarily by contributions from parents. The young club has already achieved notable success. The U11 team won the Sinqobile Equestrian Security Services Jackson Soccer Tournament, and the U13 team emerged as champions in the Yatjha Shibobo Tournament.

The mission of Tsekeleke Eleven FC is to produce top-quality players who can reach international levels and benefit the country. They aim to discover and refine young talents from an early stage. However, the club faces significant challenges. As the parents are the sole sponsors, financial constraints often hinder their ability to cover basic expenses, such as away game travel, soccer kits for all divisions, and sending players for trials.

Their goal is to participate in development leagues, but the lack of funds makes this difficult. The club appeals to companies, cooperatives, and the business community for support.

Thabang Motseki expressed his dedication to the club’s mission: “As a legend in Jackson football, I feel the need to give back to the community as I approach retirement. I want to see the talent in Jackson and beyond polished from a young age. I’ll sleep peacefully when I see over 10 of my players in the professional world.”

Despite the challenges, the club has made significant progress. It has promoted nearly 14 players to Jabez, 4 to Vaal Elite Soccer Academy, 1 to Remember Elite Sports Academy and 3 players to Seven’s Academy Stream A Gauteng Development League.

The team is supported by a dedicated group of members, including secretary Mahali Monesa, team manager Thembani Khumalo, caretaker Matshidiso Lephaka and fitness trainer Matsheko Manik.
