On Friday , 06 February, The Gauteng Social Development MEC, Faith Mazibuko will lead an Integrated Service Delivery Blitz at Tjovitjo Phase 2 in Orange Farm.
The service delivery blitz will bring together key Government Departments, Entities and Funded Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) to render the most effective services to the community. These include the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Harambe, Gauteng Department of Health, Department of Home Affairs, and the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).
“We are massifying our efforts to render these services to the community of Tjovitjo following their numerous service delivery complains. The area is plagued by a number of social ills, such as poverty, unemployment, substance abuse and child headed
homes,” said MEC Mazibuko.
She added, “We also call on young people to come forward to register for jobs with the Department of Labour and Employment. Those that need social work services such as profiling for food parcels, skills development, shelters for the homeless and those battling drug addiction, must come for assessments.”
