The recent W&R Seta Awards in Johannesburg witnessed Boxer Superstores clinching multiple accolades, affirming their commitment to excellence. The prestigious event, held annually by the renowned Skills Development entity, honoured organisations in the wholesale and retail sector, training providers, educational institutions, and SETA program beneficiaries who have significantly impacted the industry, community, and the nation at large.

Boxer Superstores Head Office, situated in Westville, KZN, emerged triumphant in several categories, with the highly coveted Best Woman in Leadership title bestowed upon Ntombi Dludla, Group Executive: Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability. Reflecting on the achievement, Dludla expressed humility and credited the collaborative efforts at Boxer. “We are a business defined by our culture towards each other and our customers. These awards acknowledge our collective dedication to building, motivating, upskilling, and shaping careers and futures for everyone at Boxer,” she remarked.

Further shining in the limelight, Boxer’s Caroline Ramudingana, Joseph Ledwaba, and Hlengiwe Qwabe secured awards in the ‘Learners with Disabilities’ category. In the Learner’s NQF level 4 & 5 Category, Dikeledi Mathobisa, Ntomzanelo Sarah Maqena, and Yasheeka Gyanath claimed the top three positions. Adding to the celebration, Boxer also clinched accolades for Best Super Large Retailer and Best Innovation Programme.

Ian Bamber, Boxer Group Executive for Human Resources, commended the winning students, describing them as remarkable team members with promising futures.

“They are recognised by their peers as leaders and an inspiration, and we are truly proud of their efforts. Winning awards for Best Super Large Retailer and the Best Innovation Programme, particularly for our work in the small-scale farming arena, is the absolute cherry on top,” Bamber declared.

The triumph at the Good Practice Awards reinforces Boxer Superstores’ position as South Africa’s favourite discount supermarket.
