Sebokeng’s very own Tshepo Modise, widely known as Beste, emerges as a dynamic force in the world of Hip-Hop and Sesotho rap, intricately weaving kasi tales into his music.

With a journey spanning back to 2005, Beste, armed with a Diploma in Art Design, crafts his own musical narrative, delivering two EPs to the world: “Oksalayo” in 2020, exclusively on SoundCloud, and “Kabelwalamanong” in 2023, available on all major digital platforms.

Breaking barriers with his vernacular hip-hop, Beste has graced stages across the region, from Lesotho’s Maseru to Free State’s Sasolburg, Parys, Qwaqwa-Phuthaditjhaba, Deneysville and beyond, including memorable performances in the Vaal Ghetto and Midrand’s Bar 9.

Reflecting on his journey, Beste shared with Orange Farm News: “My path led me through Lebone Entertainment from 2012 to 2015, but I now navigate the industry as an independent artist. I have shared stage with esteemed acts like Molemi, Kommanda Obbs, Zenzo Ngqobe, AB Crazy, Masedi and Malome Vector.”

Beste is currently teaming up with the talented vocalist George, gearing up to drop their latest single, “Kahleni,” set to feature on their upcoming album slated for release later this year.

Eager to further expand his musical horizons, Beste expresses his desire to collaborate with esteemed Sesotho hip-hop enthusiasts such as Ntate Stunna, Malome Vector, Omali Themba, Kommanda Obbs and Mathematix.
